“LEGO® Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling,” A Brand-New Animated Special With A Story 65 Million Bricks in the Making to Debut October 10th on Peacock

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – NBCUniversal, Amblin Entertainment and The LEGO Group have announced an all-new, animated special “LEGO® Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling,” which will debut Tuesday, October 10 exclusively on Peacock. The 22-minute special will be a comedic retelling of Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s original 1993 Jurassic Park through the lens of Dr. Ian Malcolm.

From the comfort of his living room and after finding his personal journal, the ever charming and now slightly older Chaos Theory Mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm retells the tale of what happened that dreadful night at Jurassic Park. As only he can do, Dr. Malcolm finds a way to add his own unique humor and style to bring this harrowing story back to life. A theme park destination filled with living dinosaurs for family and kids to enjoy – what could possibly go wrong? Absolutely everything…just as he had predicted!


This special is part of the year-long 30th anniversary celebration of the original Jurassic Park film, which has brought fans all-new content, special events, and nostalgic merchandise including an all-new LEGO line with sets of familiar scenes from the film, featuring:

  • LEGO Jurassic World The Visitor Center (76961), the classic hub for guests visiting the park and featuring the infamous T. rex battle.
  • LEGO Jurassic World Brachiosaurus Discovery (76960), the first set highlighting the Brachiosaurus in LEGO form.
  • LEGO Jurassic World Triceratops Research (76959), including the fan-favorite, buildable dinosaur poop.
  • LEGO Jurassic World Dilophosaurus Ambush (76958), with the iconic Jurassic Park Jeep.
  • Velociraptor Escape (76957), equipped with a pen and feeding basket for your pet Velociraptor.


Additionally, launching October 1st on Peacock is the full library of LEGO Jurassic World animated content, including:
