Universal City, Calif. – October 20, 2020 – Where we’re going, we don’t need roads...Universal is celebrating 35 years of the iconic, time traveling adventure film series – Back to the Future, from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. While the franchise has been going 88MPH with global commemorative product launches throughout 2020, fans around the world can look forward to even more with fan-created content, the 4K Ultra HD release, a dedicated Amazon storefront, as well as additional retail exclusives and new products that are debuting this month and in the days leading up to the fan-created “Back to the Future Day” holiday on October 21st. “Very few franchises in Hollywood history have shown the kind of staying power of Back to the Future,” said Bob Gale, co-writer and co-producer of the trilogy. “To be celebrating 35 years of this iconic film series – through incredible product collections and fan-created content from around the world – is truly a testament to the heart of the film itself. Yes, it’s a sci-fi adventure, but it’s also about family and the fans’ emotional connection to the characters – which is something everyone can relate to, no matter what generation or time-traveling decade you’re from.”
